Breadth Series

These photos don't have anything to do with Alice In Wonderland, but they are my breadth series for the AP portfolio that I thought some of you might enjoy looking at. Let me know what you think.

Wonderland

I started out using single photos, and setting the mood by working with color and light. Then I wanted to portray more elements of the plot, so I created photo stories using diptychs and triptychs. Since Alice in Wonderland is such a strange tale, I showed all of the craziness by making my pictures appear just as weird. Many of my pictures I distorted by shape or color using computer software. The chessmen and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum photos are some examples of how I used lighting and color to change the mood/tone of my art. I also tried to warp my pictures using point of view. The top picture in the “Drink Me” diptych is taken from above to make the table look large, with the small door below. The pictures that are two photos overlapping add to the dreamlike effect of the story. The Cheshire Cat photo uses overlapping photos, light, and color to express a creepy mood. I added line a repetition to my series with the chessmen picture, and the music notes in singing flowers picture. I had a lot of fun creating this photo concentration, and it was great to learn about editing and taking pictures. Alice in Wonderland is an important story to me; it lit up my imagination as a child, and I was able to show this by being creative in my pictures. This series of photos let me revisit many great memories from my childhood.

Other Concentration Options

This is the same photo as below, but a
different overlay of words. I think I like
the photo better with just the words
and no caterpillar drawing.
Here a a couple other mushroom photos. If you like these better than the one in my final series let me know!
This one is my favorite of the four.

Here are a few other humpty dumpty pictures. Any feedback would be excellent.

I also really like this card photo, and I am thinking of replacing the dragonfly with this picture.
